Lecture 1 : Familiarization with Power Electronic Systems

This lecture introduces the elementary concepts of uncontrolled and controlled rectification,power supply, filters, and controllable devices from a layman’s point of view. The inside structure of a power supply along with its various components is revealed. The concept of ‘output voltage regulation’ is also explained.
