Module 3.1 - High-frequency behaviour of components - Conductors
High-frequency behaviour of components - Conductors
The reactance (think like resistance but for capacitance and inductors we call it reactance) offered by a capacitor is given as:
Reactance offered =
1/( 2Ï€× frequency*capacitance)
High frequency AC supply, would decrease the value of this reactance offered. Hence, capacitor would essentially behave as if it is offering little or no resistance or nearly like a conductor.
